calmer, smarter, and safer. The vision of Dimdiņi embodies valuable products with a quality mark, therefore we are pleased to be able to monitor the whole process from the seed to the final product, we are also confident in what we offer to our customers!
The entire production principle is based on the integrated SPPS production standards and Bureau Veritas GLOBALG.AP. standards which govern the good manufacturing conditions, hygiene requirements and good agricultural practice standards.
The fundamental principle of these standards means to carry out full traceability throughout the production process from seeds to the final product. The integrated farming system and GLOBALG.A.P. give us the opportunity to work within the vegetable growing system at full strength, avoiding various risks that may affect the quality of the final product. By making use of the GLOBALG.A.P. system we are able to trace the development cycle of each seed and its location within the greenhouse plan, then at the chilling field, to see where it stands on each field when planted and where it is harvested, in which storehouse each variety and the cabbage harvested on an exact date are kept.
In order to avoid any quality risks, before the cabbage is cut both for fresh consumption and processing, samples are taken from the field and brought to our laboratory.
The entire production process takes place in accordance with high quality practice standards as well. In 2015, Dimdiņi have received the highest international BRC (Global Standard for Food Safety) quality standard.
