Increasing production process efficiency at SIA “Dimdiņi” 2023
SIA "Dimdiņi" continues to modernize its production to increase efficiency and production volumes. Currently, the company is implementing a new project with European Union support.
About SIA “Dimdiņi” products
SIA “Dimdiņi” produces well-known sauerkraut, braised cabbage, and marinated cabbage salads. By developing our range and product exports, we also offer customers various vegetable salads — beets in mayonnaise, steamed beets, cauliflower salads, Korean-style salads, and other products. Our range also includes boiled beans and peas.
About the project
Within the framework of the project “Increasing production process efficiency at SIA “Dimdiņi””, the planned equipment will affect the production of all products, increasing production capacity and volumes.
Planned investments
As part of the project, it is planned to purchase various equipment for the modernization of the production process:
• a line for packaging vegetables in pouches, a vegetable cutting machine, a salad mixing tank, a vegetable steam peeler, a modular conveyor belt for the vegetable pasteurization line, a peristaltic pump, an economizer, an electric kettle with a mixer, product transfer carts with baskets, a line for vegetable dosing, and a production wastewater treatment system.
Funding and results
The total eligible costs of the project are EUR 674,984.50. Public funding accounts for 50% of this amount, or EUR 337,492.25.
As a result of the project, a 30% increase in net turnover from processing will be achieved.
