What you'll need (for 4 people)
For the burgers:
- 4 burger buns
- 4-6 lettuce leaves
- 400 g ground beef
- 1-2 tomatoes
- 2 small fresh cucumbers
- 200 g Dimdiņi pickled onions
- 100 g cheddar cheese
- olive oil for frying
- a pinch of salt and pepper
- 150 g sour cream
- 50 g tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon chopped dill
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- Fire up the grill.
- Mix the ground beef with salt and pepper, and form into patties. Grill on both sides for 15-20 minutes until done.
- Slice the tomatoes, pickles, and cheese.
- In a bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients together.
- Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill on both sides.
- Assemble the burger: layer the lettuce, patty, cheese, and vegetables, then pour over the sauce and add the pickled onions.
